How much voltage does a flyback transformer produce? 

That's roughly what the question will be asked when looking at the sparks gushing from the end of the anode cable of the flyback transformer removed from the anode header of the television tube.

According to the information I got from various sources, the voltage generated by a television flyback transformer can reach about 20KV or 20,000 volts. Wow awesome!!! 

Therefore, for television operators, please be aware when dealing with this one component when opening the rear panel or when repairing the television set, even when the television set has been turned off first because the high voltage of the flyback transformer is still stored in the tube of the television set.

There is even a special way before removing the flyback transformer anode header from the tube, namely by dischargeing the tube tension or shorting between the ground tube and the wire connector inside the anode header, then the tube is safe to hold. 

Flyback transformers use high frequency for switching it is characterized by ferrite material as the core.

We can also try to increase the voltage on the flyback transformer as when the television set is on by using a used unused flyback transformer, transistors, resistors and several copper fiber cable threads.
