Utilizing Used Hard Drives into Mini Grinding

Well this time I want to show you how to make used goods can be useful.

The item in question is an old used hard drive. I will use this thing as a mini grinder, of course, it is useful for smoothing the edges of the PCB as well as flattening each fringe.

Although the size is mini, this grinder is able to smooth the metal for example, flattening the tip of the screwdriver and even a broken drill bit can be formed again.

But behind that, of course, there is also a weakness, namely the power. So even though the speed is very fast but the power is weak, the strategy is to add weight to the disk so that there is additional power when rotating fast.

The Hard disk dynamo uses a BLDC dynamo so there are 4 connections for the dynamo, one connection for the main driver coil two other connections for the coil picuan.

For the initial rotation, it is necessary to turn the hand slightly, if it is less sensitive, the capacity of the 22n capacitor can be increased in value, for example to 220n, then the initial rotation can even rotate immediately.

The voltage supply uses a 12V battery, it can be a battery or the simplest and lightest, namely a lithium ion battery used by a laptop battery or the like as I use in the video below.

  1. maaf mas mau nanya klo di rangkaian yg sudah jadi ada dioda, tpi di skema kok ngga ada ya, jalur dioda nya di mana ya, maaf newbie pengen nyoba buat rangkaiannya :)

    1. Dioda dipakai hanya sebagai alat anti terbalik, jikalau salah polaritas baterai maka rangkaian tidak bekerja, jadi aman, pemasangan nya sebelum rangkaian
